     About the lecture:

    Based on academic mechanism and personal experiences, the lecturer will introduce and assess the difference of postgraduates training between China and America. The focus will be given to apply for overseas study, courses, English proficiency, writings, conference article and paper publishing, teaching capacity, job hunting etc. Associating these issues with the status quo of higher education, the lecture will be conducive to your understanding and practice in international participation, publishing and dialogue.

 

     Lecturer

     Dr. Xu Huaiyu was born in Zhangshu, Jiangxi province. He has studied in Beijing Normal University, Peking University and Princeton University, and is now an assistant professor in Arizona State University. He was also research fellow of Princeton Institute for Advanced Study and Clare Hall Spalding Fellow.

His interests include the history of region in China, Silk Road history, thoughts and academics in contemporary China.
